Scouted Bull Creek yesterday and saw a nice buck still in full velvet. Looked to be a 6 or an 8.
Also found a few scrapes that were being worked.

I seen two deer dead on the side of SR 54 today I wonder if it was from the storm events. I know they were hit by cars that was obvious but they were in areas where I didnt think I would see them close to shopping and close to homes. More towards NPR and not towards odessa where I usualy see deer every moring going to work. I guess Frances tooks its toll on everyone and everything.. Kenny

I scouted Tiger Bay today and saw sign everywhere. I guess because of the hurricane, it has forced the deer to use paths they commonly don't use. They had all the roads and fire roads beat down with tracks. You could not drive back into the area because of flooding, they should have posted this WMA on the FWC page. Water was deep and plentiful and almost need waders to get around back there.
I found two dead bucks, one with a leg broken in half and was skull capped by somebody and the other look like he had a tree fall over and break his spine and this one had three points on one side and a broken left antler. I also saw a couple does and a buck on the move. I saw about 7 turkeys too. I still need to get out another time or two in the next two weeks.

yes greenswamp is flooded. it was very wet before the 2 hurricanes now its bad. the area i usually hunt i will have to wade waiste deep water to get there. so i went today and found a new area for me and my boys. seen 1 deer heard another. lots of fresh hog rooting everywhere. hitting the acorns a little but rooting hard. a few deer tracks around. historically when its this wet there its a bad deer season and a super hog season. 2 years ago when it was this wet they set a hog kill record of 486. from what i saw today theres gonna be plenty of pork to go around. myself i hunt deer but will shoot a hog if i see it. will probably see alot of them this year.
